Following the retirement of the former General Manager in March, the Intercity Transit Authority is accepting applications for her replacement. The nationwide search is expected to remain open through the end of September, with a successful candidate starting by the end of the year.
The northbound Interstate 5 (I-5) on-ramp at Martin Way, near College St., will be closed overnight for striping on Tuesday, Aug. 1 and Wednesday, Aug. 2. Closures will occur between 8:30 p.m. and 4:30 a.m.
The draft Transit Development Plan (TDP) describes 2022 operational highlights and outlines how we anticipate using our financial resources over the next six years. A draft of this year’s TDP is available online, by emailing customerservice@intercitytransit.com or calling 360-786-1881.

Intercity Transit is hosting GM Recruitment Community Stakeholder Sessions at their Administrative and Operations Facility. As a quorum of Board Members may be present, the events are being noticed as a Special Meeting. No action items for the Intercity Transit Authority Board are planned during these events.

Intercity Transit is providing earlier service on Route 620 for those attending the JBLM Airshow this weekend, July 15 and 16. Passengers can transfer to the Pierce Transit Express at the SR 512 Park & Ride.

The Intercity Transit Authority scheduled a special meeting for Wednesday, July 12, 2023, for the purpose of conducting a Zero Emissions Analysis Workshop.  The governing board will meet from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the administrative office located at 510 Pattison SE, Olympia, WA.

Intercity Transit’s Dial-A-Lift, local and Express bus service will operate weekend level service on Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4. Customer Service at the Olympia Transit Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to assist customers. Intercity Transit’s administrative office will be closed, and Village Vans will not operate in observance of the holiday.

The July 5, 2023, Intercity Transit Authority Board Meeting is canceled.  The next meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.

In March, our previous General Manager, Ann Freeman-Manzanares, retired wrapping up her 30-year career at Intercity Transit. We are thankful for Ann's leadership and dedication.
