The Intercity Transit Authority will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2021, to receive comments on a proposed flat rate fare structure for the agency’s vanpool program. This proposal is part of the agency’s continuing effort to meet community goals and the intent of IT Proposition 1, which was approved by voters in November 2018, to create more access to public transit.
Intercity Transit will conduct a public hearing, Wednesday, August 18, 2021, beginning at 5:30 p.m. to receive public comments on a Five-Year Vanpool Fare Demonstration Project.
The public hearing will take place by telephone or other remote means in accordance with Governor Inslee’s Proclamation 20-28.15, in response to the COVID-19 state of emergency. Further details concerning how to provide comment at the public hearing will be posted on the Intercity Transit website at: www.intercitytransit.com.

Intercity Transit’s Village Vans program will resume services on Tuesday, July 6. The program offers free employment-related transportation for low-income individuals in the Olympia, Lacey and Tumwater areas, as well as driver training and job skills development for anyone hoping to increase their work readiness.
