Annual: $96,179.20-$129,833.60Summary:
The Senior Fleet Business Analyst at Intercity Transit plays a crucial role in supporting the operational and strategic functions of the Fleet Maintenance Division. This position is responsible for providing analytical and technical support, conducting research and data analyses, and developing metrics and dashboards to enhance service utilization and operational efficiency. The analyst will collaborate closely with the department leadership team to report on performance metrics and identify trends, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality.
This position also has responsibility for: designing, implementing, evaluating, and/or utilizing computerized management reports from the fleet information management system to prepare written recommendations to improve workload balancing, and increase various process efficiencies. This position performs related duties as required.
Distinguishing Characteristics:
The Fleet Business Analyst conducts fleet analyses and special studies to implement quality service and operational improvements. Assignments may be comprehensive and complex and require substantial research and analysis. Assignments are generally in the form of broad outlines of desired results and objectives, outlining the project, and providing general guidance. Wide latitude and considerable flexibility is allowed in developing the design and in conducting the study. The results will be used to optimize fleet performance, safety, and cost-effectiveness to meet the organization’s fleet needs. This will be completed by collaborating with all levels within the Fleet division including technicians, supervisors, training coordinator, manager and director. The Fleet Business Analyst should be knowledgeable about vehicle maintenance as well as highly proficient in MS Excel.

Licensing Requirements:
Valid WA State
Must submit to criminal background check the results of which must meet hiring criteria for the role.
Physical Requirements:
Positions in this class typically require: fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion.
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Training and Experience:
- Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Diesel/Automotive Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Considerable (3 - 5 years) experience in fleet maintenance operations, research, organizational methods analysis, statistical analysis, and/or productivity work measurement studies. Strong personal computer (PC) skills.
