Intercity Transit’s Walk N Roll program is partnering with Target Zero Thurston Task Force, Child Care Action Council's Safe Kids Thurston County and the Olympia Police Department to design, print, and distribute yard signs with traffic safety messages. Signs are displayed in neighborhoods and around schools in Thurston County where people are walking and rolling. The goal is to encourage drivers to slow down making Thurston County a safer place for bicyclist and pedestrians.
In 2020, the original set of three yard signs were designed by Thurston County youth and paid for by State Farm. In 2024, three new designs were created by students at Avanti High School and paid for by Target Zero.
Where do I get a sign?
Pick-up a free yard sign at:
- Intercity Transit Customer Service, daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Olympia Transit Center, 205 Franklin St. NE, Olympia.
- Lacey Timberland Library, Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 500 College St. SE, Lacey
